Taste the Authentic Flavors of India

Our Story: From Homesick to Home-Cooked
āā
Twenty-five years ago, a young couple stepped off a plane with nothing but a suitcase full of dreams and memories of home-cooked meals. They had come to the United States in search of opportunity—but what they didn’t expect was just how much they would miss the flavors of home.
ā
They searched high and low for the tastes they had grown up with: the crispness of fresh gathiya, the warmth of hand-ground masalas, the crackle of just-fried farsan, and the tangy burst of tamarind chutney that only maa could make. But nothing came close. The packaged snacks lacked soul. The store-bought mixes fell flat. And slowly, that ache for home turned into something else—an idea.
ā
For decades, they worked hard, built a life, raised a family. But the dream of recreating those flavors never left them. One day, they rolled up their sleeves, dusted off their family recipes, and started experimenting in the kitchen. Every spice blend was mixed by hand. Every batch of farsan was fried fresh. The smell alone began to draw in neighbors. Soon, friends were calling, strangers were lining up, and every tray they made sold out before it hit the counter.
ā
That’s when they knew: it wasn’t just their craving. So many others, just like them, were hungry—not just for food, but for a taste of home.
ā
And that’s how this restaurant was born. Built on tradition, driven by passion, and flavored with the kind of love that can only come from missing something deeply. Here, you won’t find shortcuts. You’ll find food made fresh daily, using time-honored recipes passed down through generations—recipes meant to nourish your body and your memories.
ā
So whether you grew up eating gathiya for breakfast or you’re tasting it for the first time, we invite you to pull up a chair, share a meal, and feel at home.
Because for us, this isn’t just food. It’s family. It’s heritage. It’s heart.
